You Look Good…
Hi. You look good.
Welcome to the Soft Sundays blog.
We are makeup artists first, but we’re going to let you into the beauty world.
I decided to add a blog to this brand because beauty needs an outlet, and we as people need information. Pictures capture moments. They capture looks. But sometimes they leave you with more questions than answers. A finished face is one thing. Understanding what’s behind it is another.
The goal of this blog is to write about the inside of beauty through different themes. I’ve come to realize that everyone has their own version of what beauty is: the way it looks, the products used, the personality behind it, the aura someone carries, whatever resonates with them. But there is always an inside layer to everything, and that inside layer is what we’re going to explore.
There’s so much more to it than a good foundation or the right mascara. Beauty is work, and every woman or man knows this. The question is, how aware are you of it?
Think of this as your version of Gossip Girl, but beauty.
Beauty, to me, is a lot of things. There are moments I feel it confidently. Other moments, I feel like a potato. That’s real.
But the inside layer is this: we control it. We own it.
Beauty is an art form. It can be adjusted, moved, improved, or completely let go of at any time. It isn’t fixed. It isn’t assigned. It isn’t something handed to you permanently. It’s something you participate in.
And it’s more than just being attractive. Beauty gives you power over your life. It changes how you enter a room, how you speak, and how you carry yourself. It shifts energy.
The biggest misunderstanding about beauty is that it’s purely external, or worse, that what’s external is permanent. Nothing is permanent. It evolves, and so do we.
The beauty industry does the same. Trends. Products. Standards. Everything in this world is constantly shifting, much like we are.
So we’re going to access the endless layers of it. We’re going to start conversations that might change your perspective, not just on beauty, but on yourself, on how you see yourself, and maybe even on how you see the industry around you.
Here, you’ll find moments where we dive into trends, what products work, what products don’t, and what’s actually in them. We’ll talk about brands, the mechanics behind them, and how the beauty industry really operates. Not just the surface level version. The part most people don’t see.
It’s going to make you think.
We’ll get into beauty standards, how they shift, who influences them, and why they change. We’ll talk about beauty as history, because this isn’t new. Humans have been doing this for a very long time, and just like us, it evolves.
There will be practical conversations too. Tips on how to use products. What works. What doesn’t. What’s trending in terms of looks, why those trends change, what might be next, and how to create that look in a way that still feels like you.
And lastly, we’re going to talk about internal beauty.
Because if you didn’t see the title, you look good.
And we’re going to unpack why we have a tendency to question that or struggle to receive it when maybe we shouldn’t.
We’ll also be sharing our favorite product recommendations and how to actually use them, because buying the product and knowing what to do with it are not the same thing. Beyond that, this is about building community. We want to hear from you. Follow our Instagram, send a DM, leave a comment, agree with us, question us, tell us what you’re seeing. Be part of the conversation.
Beauty is meant to be fun. And from time to time, we might share a little insider info about what’s actually happening in the industry. The shifts before they’re obvious. The trends before they’re labeled “must-have.” The moves that shape what ends up on your feed six months later.
This isn’t meant to be watched. It’s meant to be part of.
So share this with your friends. Think deeper. Maybe laugh a little. We might be slightly tongue in cheek at times, but we’ll always keep it honest.
So welcome to Soft Sundays.
You look good.
